Vivian L. Simone

Vivian (Musumarra) Simone, 104, passed away peacefully Friday, April 21, 2017 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. Vivian was born Catania, Italy. She was educated in Lawrence; was the daughter of Domenic and Agatha (Laudani) Musumarra; and the widow of Armand R. Simone.

A lifelong resident of Merrimack Valley, Vivian had been employed for several years with Grieco Brothers in Lawrence and Merrimack College in Andover. She had been employed for twenty-three years with the A. Raymond Simone Accounting Firm in Lawrence.

Vivian was a longtime parishioner at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence and was a member of Saint Rita's Society. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She received the Boston Post Award for being the oldest resident in Andover.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Sharon Camasso and her husband Richard, Michael Simone and his wife Joanne, Mark Simone and his wife Julie; five great-grandchildren, Chellsey, Joseph, and Natalie Camasso, Zachary, Tyler Simone, and Paige Dewhirst; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Special thanks to Vivian’s nephew and his wife, Joseph and Lynne Simone for their kindness, compassion, and assistance through the years making Vivian’s golden years memorable,as well as her close friends, Marie Flynn and Linda Martelli for always being there to lend a hand.

Vivian was predeceased by her son and his wife, Adrian and Carol (DeSpirito) Simone.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Michael Church, 196 Main St., North Andover. Burial to follow the mass at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
