Ruth A. DeStefano

Ruth Ann (Arcidy) DeStefano, 83, of Methuen passed away December 13, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Laudani) Arcidy.

Ruthie was raised and educated in Lawrence, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked at Western Electric, and then later owned and operated Coke’s Valley Lounge with her late husband, Lewis “Coke” DeStefano. She most enjoyed spending time with her close friends and loving daughter, as well as her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her only daughter, Gia M. (DeStefano) Savastano, and her husband, Mark; her loving grandsons, Nico and Zack Savastano; and her niece, Rebecca Mohammadi.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley, P.O. Box 8006, Bradford, MA 01835.
