Mary A. Ganimy

Mary A. Ganimy, 84, of Methuen passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Methuen Village Assisted Living. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Josephine (Pappalardo) Ganimy.

Mary was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She worked for Attorney Frederick O’Brien in Lawrence and retired from the Lawrence District Court where she worked as a clerical specialist. Mary enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano, gardening, crocheting, and ball room dancing.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Methuen Village for their compassionate care and Hospice for their special care in her last days.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Frieda A. Ripa of Methuen and Jeanette P. Caux and her husband Ronald of Atkinson, NH; her nieces, Marianne Collupy and her husband David of Haverhill, Lisa J. (Caux) Manzi of Methuen, Lynne M. Hardacre and her husband John of Atkinson, NH, Diane LaRoche and her husband Pierre of VT, and Rosanne Ripa and her wife Susan Tarplin of Northboro, MA. She also leaves several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Salvatore J. Ripa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Methuen.
