Joseph Coco, 54, of Lawrence passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Beverly and raised and educated in Lawrence.
Joe worked for many years as the maintenance supervisor for Baker-Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill. He enjoyed old sports and muscle cars and loved spending time with his nephew Angelo and his nieces, Francesca and Nina, whom he adored and spent every day with.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Angelo Coco; his sister, Nina (Coco) Robie and his nephew, Russell Robie.
He is survived by his mother, Grace (Platania) Coco of Lawrence; brother, Salvatore “Sam” Coco and his wife Dianne Barker-Coco of North Andover; sister, Maria “Mary” (Coco) Saade and her husband Tony of Lawrence; one nephew; and three nieces.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Entombment will follow at St. Mary – Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at gistinfo.org/donate.
