Ana M. Silva

Ana Silva, 61, of Lawrence passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 after a long illness at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Azores in Portugal and was the daughter of John and Etelvina Silva.

Ana came to America with her family as a small child at the age of seven and settled in Lawrence where she attended Lawrence Public Schools. She started her working career at Cardinal Shoe Co. in Lawrence, Alco Corp. until it closed, and then Raytheon. She loved having bird feeders in her yard and spent countless hours watching the different birds come to eat. Her family brought her great joy and loved spending time with them. Ana will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Silva of Lawrence; her son, Michael Silva and his wife Loyda of Lawrence; daughter, Dina Haddad and her husband Bassam of Andover; and three grandchildren. Ana also leaves her siblings, Manuel Silva and his wife Yorka of FL, Tony Silva of Methuen, Fatima Lima and her husband Eutimo of Lawrence, Margarida Silva of FL, Leanor Silva, and Susan Silva, both of Portugal; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Thursday, July 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral services will take place on Friday, July 21st at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow her services at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
