Carol - I was a supplier to Screenprint Dow and worked with Bob for many years. He was a great man and he will be missed dearly. A sharp businessman but always fair. He often spoke fondly of his times with family and friends in Vermont. With sympathy and my deepest condolences. Jeff

Bob was such an inspiration to everyone at Screenprint, the company that he poured so much of his time and care towards. For many, he was the soul of the company. For me, I have fond memories of his patience and mentoring over the years. At his service, the love expressed in the family photos had a physical presence and truly touching. Bob will always be remembered for his generosity, positve outlook and truly geniune presence. All our prayers to Carole and Bob's family in this their time of loss. May the memories of such a kind and good man bring smiles to you all for the rest of your days.

I have known Bob for almost 30 years. I was hired in January of 1988 as the Purchasing Manager for Screenprint and a year later took on additional responsibilities as the Human Resource Manager for Screenprint/Dow. In both capacities, Bob and I had a lot of interaction whether it was in buying material for the company or solving an employee issue. Bob was a very dynamic individual who wanted to get things done right away. He had a way about him that set the tempo for the company. Bob was a great communicator. You always knew where he stood. He held quarterly meetings with the employees to let them know what was going on in the company. We had an annual employee appreciation day where the supervisors would serve the employees hot dogs and hamburgers and ice cream day. Bob thoroughly enjoyed his job as General Manager. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for a customer. He always had a smile on his face and led by example. It was a pleasure to work for him because you respected and admired him for who he was. He cared for his employees and there was nothing that he wouldn’t do for them within reason which resulted in very little turnover. Bob had a great reputation in the industry because of his knowledge and experience. Bob’s attitude was that there is nothing that we wouldn’t do to solve the customer’s problem. Bob and I spent a lot of time together because our job functions interacted with one another on a daily basis. We even had lunch together almost on a daily basis and after lunch we would go for a walk. Family was very important to both of us so during our walks we would talk about what was going on in our lives. When I retired in 2008, we kept in touch by phone, email and we would also go out to lunch a few times each year. I can still remember on one of those occasions when he told me that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which was about five years ago. I was devastated but the more he talked about it the more I was convinced that he was going to beat this disease because of his attitude about it. This was just a bump in the road. Over the next five years, he was in and out of the hospital so I didn’t get to see him as often but I stayed in touch by phone and email. I often wonder why bad things happen to good people but I could never get an answer to that question. When I look back at the people I have met in my lifetime, Bob will always stand out as one of the best. So long my friend, you will not only be missed by me, your family especially Carol who you loved and adored but also your friends and all the employees at Screenprint. Dear Bob, you have been called home by your Maker but there will be a time when we will meet again.
