Jack Neely Dalton, age 73, retired M/Sgt. Air Force Reserve, passed away June 4, 2017 at home in Ft. Washington, MD. He left this life peacefully and joined his beloved wife, Elaine Caram Dalton; mother, Blanche A. Ducheneau; father, Melvin “Jack” Dalton; and stepfather, Oliver “Bucky” Ducheneau.
He is survived by a brother, Robert A. Dalton; sister, Anna B. Dalton; cousins: Roberta Lynch (Tim) of Seabrook, NH, Barbara Holmes (Jim) of Arcadia, FL, Cindy Cutrona Monroe, and Debbie Dalton of Peterstown WV; nephews: Richard Polson, John Polson, and Jack Dalton; nieces: Sara Bildik and Heather Dalton; aunts: Clara Dalton Mann and Reta Dalton Davis; brother-in-law, Lewis and sister-in law, Claire. He will be missed by special friends: Karen and Harry Greene, Ruth Dupree, Diane Mandell, Jim and Carol Furneaux, and Ed Kasouf. Special thanks to neighbor Hugh Smith and Dr. Felton P. Anderson for looking after Jack for so many years during his fifty years in Maryland.
Jack was a 1961 graduate of Lawrence High School in Massachusetts and attended Lowell Tech. He graduated from the University of Maryland with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degrees and specialized in Personnel Systems Management. He retired from Headquarters Command, Air Force Reserve at Andrews Air Force Base. Jack spent many hours researching Multiple Sclerosis and had a blog read by many. He was a movie buff and spent many hours following Turner Classic movies and researching modern films. If he liked a film, he recorded in on VHS tapes and purchased DVDs and shared many of his gems with friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Graveside services will follow at St. Anthony's Maronite Cemetery, Methuen.
