We are mourning the passing of Don, beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, grandfather.... our own mother has wept since she heard the sorrowful news.

He was like her little brother....and our big brother...so warm, kind, funny, loving, joyful, loyal, and caring....

When our own father passed away, and we came to Brooklyn for that first Christmas in 1968, the Ganim family...Auntie Nellie, Uncle Tom, Raymond, Don, and their loving mates and children... made us know that there was life again, and it could be happy...and we will never forget that...

Don and Ray's admiration for our father made the bond...the connection...among each of us...even stronger....Don once showed us the photo of my dad that he always carried in his wallet....sharing the story of 47th street when my dad returned from the war....

And Don and Ray and mom and her brothers living up and down...side by side...growing up...made us one family...truly....

He was truly a great man...and he will be dearly missed by all of us....

We will keep all of you in our loving prayers...May God bless each of you as you deal with the loss of dear Don...

So sad for the loss of such a caring and compassionate friend and neighbor. We shared many life happenings as neighbors for over 35 years both on Copley Drive and Pine Tree Drive. Your smile and ever present energy will be missed. May you rest in peace knowing that you touched many with your positive outlook and caring ways.

My condolences to the Ganim family. I work with Don for many years at Raytheon and it was my pleasure to know him as a friend.

Ganim family,
Sorry to hear about your loss
Mr Ganim was a nice guy who helped create good memories in the Anderson Drive neighborhood back in the 70s and 80s.
With deep sympathy,
John Rimas and family

What an amazing tribute to your dad, Don. We feel privileged to have known him. You certainly were so lucky to have a man of such character as a father, and you model those values yourself to your sons. Our love to you and your family, know you are in our prayers. You have your own personal Saint to pray to now! God bless all of you...
Love, Bob and Jane Manning
