Welcome to the memorial page for

Brian D. Sheehan

March 20, 1957 ~ May 21, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old

Brian D. Sheehan, 60, of Methuen passed away Sunday, May 21st surrounded by his family.  He was born in Lowell and was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Moriarty) Sheehan.  Brian was a graduate of Lowell High School and the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  He was a dedicated employee at Raytheon Corp in Andover for thirty-five years.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Colleen M (Manning) Sheehan; daughter, Ashley M Galipeau and her husband Michael of Derry, NH; granddaughter, Madison Galipeau and step-granddaughter, Sienna Carbonneau; brothers, Daniel Sheehan and his wife Ida of Chelmsford and Kevin Sheehan and his wife Lynne of Billerica; sisters, Kathleen and Mary Sheehan both of Lowell; and his mother and father in-law, Mr and Mrs David Manning of Atkinson, NH.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Brian lived a simple but greatly fulfilled and accomplished life.  Brian’s world was comprised of family, friends, faith and charity.   His best times were with the three main ladies of his life - his devoted wife, adoring daughter and darling granddaughter all which always kept him smiling and guessing.  He also loved traveling and spending time with his family.  Whether it be a stay at the beach, trip to Las Vegas, traveling overseas or just at home … it didn’t matter, if it was with family, it was a great time.  Brian had a great sense of humor and special gift of writing and always knew the right thing to say. A testament to Brian’s giving nature was the Sacred Heart Endowed Scholarship Fund that he and his lifelong friends, the “Churchyard Boys” established.

Relatives and friends are invited to join in celebrating Brian’s life on Thursday, May 25th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen.  His funeral mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, May 26th at 11:00am at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury.  For directions or to send condolences, please visit www.cataudellafh.com.
