Yasnanhia F. Cabral

Yasnanhia Felisa Cabral 39, of Lawrence, MA, passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Yasnanhia was born in Arenoso, Santiago in the Dominican Republic on September 27, 1979 and immigrated to the United States in 1991. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Wesleyan University with her degree in Romance Languages. She furthered her education by obtaining her Master of Arts Degree from Brandeis University in Economics and Finance.

Employed at Lawrence Family Development Charter School as a special needs teacher, Yasnanhia also worked at Central Catholic High School as a Spanish teacher, as well as for the U.S. Census as a coordinator, and most recently for the U.S. Federal Government as an economist for nine years.

A loving daughter, Yasnanhia was also a sister, friend, aunt and person. She loved reading, traveling to other countries and tasting their cuisines, and and trying new things.

Yasnanhia is survived by her parents, Felix and Victoria Cabral; her two brothers, Erickson Cabral and his wife, Yarissa of North Andover and Aneudy Cabral and his wife, Jenny of Methuen; as well as her two nieces, Ericelys and Esmeirys Cabral; and her nephew, Lucas Cabral.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. Cremation will follow.
