Xiangdong Liu

Our beloved friend, Xiangdong Liu, of Andover, MA, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the age of 49, leaving behind his loving wife Tao Yu, and their two sons, Larry Liu and Alex Liu.
 
Born, raised and educated in JiNan, China, the son of Chengxin Yao and the late Jingming Liu, Xiangdong emigrates to the United States in 1995. After graduate studies at UMass-Amherst and Revere College, Xiangdong had worked in the computer industry and had a bright future.
 
The Liu family, residents of Andover, and are very involved in the surrounding communities. Xiangdong left his family, friends, and our community much too soon.

Please keep the Liu family in your prayers as the weeks, months, and years ahead are sure to be difficult for them.

The tragedy that the Liu family is facing is most stressful and poses extreme burdens. Our community always comes together at such times to support each other. We are thankful for any support individuals or organizations may be able to provide. A GoFundMe campaign has been established so that contributions may be made for the Liu family to assist with the funeral arrangements and everyday needs of the family during this difficult time and beyond.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the service for Xiangdong on Saturday, November 13, 2021, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will take place in private at a later date.

我们亲爱的朋友刘向东因急症抢救无效于2021年11月4日病逝， 离开了深爱的妻子于涛和两个上高中的儿子，享年49岁。刘向东生于1972年2月29日中国济南，毕业于中国海洋大学，1995年获全额奖学金赴美麻州大学Amherst 分校硕博连读，后一直从事计算机行业。他热爱生活，对家庭有很强的责任感。向东于涛一家平时热心公益，时常为社区服务奉献他们的智慧和心血。原本幸福的这四口之家，有两个正在读高中的儿子，妻子于涛多年一直在家相夫教子，向东的突然离世顿时使整个家庭陷入精神和经济困境之中。一方有难，八方相助。作为向东的朋友和邻里，我们恳请各位朋友伸出您的援手，一起帮助这个家庭走出困境。这里募集到的善款将直接转入刘向东于涛一家的银行账户，用于贴补向东告别式的费用以及日后母子三人的生活。无论多少，您的爱心都将在这个冬天把温暖注入这个不幸的家庭，谢谢您！
