William J. “Bill” McKernan, 58, of East Hampstead, NH passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 of natural causes.
Bill was born in Lawrence, MA on March 25, 1960 to the late Joseph McKernan and Lucille McKernan.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, where he was Co-Captain of the hockey team. Bill received his degree from Merrimack College. He was a sales and marketing expert in the IT field and was employed in Regional Sales at Winxnet.
Bill was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, mentor. He was a lover of animals and spent his life taking care of his beloved dogs. His dog, Chelsea, was always by his side. He enjoyed tennis, yard work, reading, history and politics and loved to cheer for the Patriots and Red Sox.
Bill is survived by his mother, Lucille (Panorelli) McKernan of Salem, NH; sister, Sharon Orzechowski of Loveland, CO; aunt, Agnes Desmet of Atkinson, NH; cousin, Tom Desmet and wife Susan Desmet of Maine; god-daugther, Jill Smith of New Hampshire. He also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 18th at St. Joseph’s Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire Street in Lawrence. Private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
