Dr. William R. Irving, Jr. passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was the son of Dr. William R. Irving and Jeannette Bowman Irving of Gloucester, MA. He was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Princeton University, and McGill Medical School. Dr. Irving was the Chief of Pathology and Nuclear Medicine at the Lawrence General Hospital.
He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn (Irving) Weiser of Woburn, MA, Marilyn (Irving) Rasmussen of Rockport, MA, and his half-brother and sister, James V. Irving of Arlington, VA and Elizabeth (Irving) Mathiot of Raleigh, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
He will be especially missed by his dear friends, William Guay of Haverhill, MA, Michael Hozapfel of Bluffton, SC, Phyllis Baddour of Methuen, MA, Ric Conti of Salem, NH; and the nephew of the love of his life, Joan Constantine, Scott Fairbanks of Tyngsboro, MA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford.
