William C. "Bill" Gurrisi, II

William C. “Bill” Gurrisi, II, 59, of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, after surmounting many years of significant health challenges.
 
The second of nine children born to William, Sr. and Jean (Connor) Gurrisi, Bill grew up in Winchester, MA, where his parents still reside today. He was educated in the Winchester school system and attended Northeastern University in Boston.
 
A lifelong mechanic, Bill could always be found fixing something, building something new, or imparting his hard-earned wisdom to his children and grandchildren, especially his sons who followed him confidently into the family business of heavy equipment repair at W C Gurrisi & Sons of Peabody, MA. His daughters learned to be independent, resilient, and strong women under his watchful eye.
 
When not under a truck, Bill enjoyed getting the wind in his beard on long motorcycle rides or boating excursions, taking his devoted wife, Pam, out on mystery rides, or fishing the majestic waters of the Kennebec River, near which Pam and Bill built a beautiful home to be enjoyed by their children and grandchildren. Bill and Pam's family have benefitted from his sense of adventure, chronic wanderlust (the family road tripped through 45 states and parts of Canada and Mexico together!), deep love, strong values, and the decades of examples he set as a Good Man.
 
Bill was predeceased by his brother, Bobby; brothers-in-law, William Keough and Conrad Smith; and in-laws, Conrad and Sally Smith.
 
William is survived by his parents, William Sr. and Jean (Connor) Gurrisi; beloved wife of nearly forty years, Pamela K. (Smith) Gurrisi; cherished father of Angela R. of Hampstead, NH; William C., III and his wife Beth of Haverhill; Carolyn Hart and her husband Matt of Gloucester; Nicholas and his wife Brittany of Newton, NH; doting Poppa to grandchildren, Beckett and Emerson Gurrisi; siblings, Laurie Sirois and her husband Tom of Woburn; Linda Vining and her husband Stephen, Sr. of Woburn; Christine Keough of Woburn; Peter, Sr. Gurrisi and his wife Nicole of Merrimac; Paul Gurrisi and his wife Leslie of Kingston, NH; Amanda Carlson and her husband Steven of Alexandria, VA; Michael Gurrisi of Winchester; aunt Jennifer Gurrisi of Stoneham; uncle and aunt Ed and Carole Connor of Walpole; sister-in-law Jill Gurrisi of Merrimac; brother-in-law Robert Smith and his wife Harriet of Bridgewater; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
