William E. Simone

William E. Simone, 71, of Atkinson, NH died Friday, August 31, 2018 at his residence.

William was born in Lawrence, MA on April 15, 1947 to the late William J. and Theresa (Deschesne) Simone. He served in the Methuen Police department for over thirty years, retiring as a lieutenant. He was also a U.S. veteran having served in the U.S. Army. William was the recipient of the AFEM Medal, the SPS Rifle Medal the Expert M-14 Rifle Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was a remote control plane enthusiast and was a member of the R.C. Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Mullen) Simone of Atkinson; and his three sons, William Simone and his wife, Kristen of Atkinson, NH, Steven M. Simone and his wife, Melissa of Sandown, NH, and Craig R. Simone of Atkinson. Also among his survivors are his two sisters, Carol Poalantonio and her husband, Peter of Atkinson and Deborah Simone of Davey, FL; his nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A service will be offered at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM followed by military honors. A burial will take place at a later date at the National Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
