William T. “Bill” Ahie, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 6, 2018. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Ralph “Rafeei” and Edith M. (Witthus) Ahie.
A graduate of Tenney High School, class of 1967. William served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1976. He was a former member of the Windham Fire Department, Hampstead K-9 Officers, and Special Deputy with the Sheriff’s Department. William proudly served with his fellow brothers and sisters, took great pride in serving his community and especially assisting those in need. He also owned and operated Back 40 Acre Farm. In his spare time he loved to hunt, fish, farm, and spend time with his family.
A friend to many, William enjoyed sharing laughs and good times with each and every one of them. His smile was infectious and would light up any room.
William is survived by his daughter, Arielle M. Lessard of Sandown, NH; sister, Marsha Kelly and her husband, William of Salem, NH; niece, Laura Kelly of Salem, NH; and nephew, Scott Kelly of Manchester, NH. He also leaves many loving cousins and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, April 13, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Graveside services will be held the following Saturday, April 21st at 10:00 AM at United Lebanese Cemetery, 50 Corbett Road, Lawrence.
