Virginia A. Lorenzo

Virginia A. (Germana) Lorenzo , 95, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Born on April 16, 1927, she was the daughterof the late Anthony and Mabel (Fortin) Germana.

Along with her parents, Virginia is pre-deceased by the love of her life, Angelo N. Lorenzo; her son, Joseph Lorenzo; and her brothers, Dominic, Richard, Anthony, and Albert; and her sister, Frances (Robichaud).

Our dear mother will be terribly missed, but her loving memories and traditions will forever be passed on for generations to come. She valued her time with family, enjoyed Sunday dinners surrounded by her children and extended family. Her Italian Wedding Soup, her Italian sauce and Refrigerator Pudding were some family favorites. Her joy of music and singing with her family was treasured and indelible. Virginia had an amazing sense of humor that one could always count on to bring a smile or laugh, a trait she inherited from her father. She possessed a strong spiritual faith and shared the value of prayer with her children, including the stories of many Saints, and their significance. St. Anthony and St. Theresa were Virginia’s patron Saints and brought her comfort.

Virginia will be deeply missed and is survived by her children, Diane Gianni and her husband Peter of Methuen, MA, Anthony Lorenzo and his wife Jeanine of Methuen, MA; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Lorenzo of Atkinson, NH; son, Andy Lorenzo and his wife Linda of Simi Valley, California; and daughter, Ann Marie Lorenzo and her wife Michelle of Newbury, MA. Virginia is also survived by fourteen beautiful grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Methuen.
