Virginia Frittitta

Virginia (Polizzotti) Frittitta, 94, of Methuen passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Nevin’s Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born in Sicily, Italy and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosaria (Palmisano) Polizzotti.

Mrs. Frittitta was raised and educated in Italy and came to Lawrence in 1973. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking. She lived her life by her faith and loved spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Antonino Frittitta; and her siblings, Vincenza Raimondi, Serafino, and Antonio Polizzotti.

Mrs. Frittitta is survived by her children, Gaetano Frittitta and his wife, Joanne of Windham, NH, Pio Frittitta and his wife, Grace of Salem, NH, and Joanne Cuomo and her husband, Joseph of Salem, NH; and her brother, Giovanni Polizzotti of Italy. She also leaves five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 8:00-9:15 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s – Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
