Vincenza “Vinnie” (Bruno) Catalano, 101, of Andover, formerly of Lawrence, entered into eternal rest and met her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2018 at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Liboria (Calabrese) Bruno.
Vinnie attended Lawrence schools and worked in the Wood Mills and also for Bolta Tire Company. She would light up the room with her smile and will always be remembered for her giving heart. Vinnie loved cooking, music, dancing, singing, going to T-bones in Salem, NH, and playing bingo with her dear daughter Debbie and friends Ann and Carole. But what was most important to her was spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Academy Manor and Merrimack Valley Hospice for all their support and love, and a special thank you to Lisa who beautified her and always took the time to make her feel special.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sebastian Catalano; siblings, Theresa Marino, Anne Savio, Angie Milazzo, and Tony Bruno; and her son-in-law, Francis Cantwell, Jr.
Vinnie is survived by her daughters, Angela Jean and her husband, Thomas and Debbie Cantwell; grandchildren, Anthony Scionti, II and his wife, Madeline, Thomas Scionti and his wife, Angelina, Steven Scionti and his wife, Linda, Michael and Kristina Scionti, Melissa Rabito and her husband, Matthew, and Francis Cantwell, III. She also leaves four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
