Vincent P. Santapaola

Vincent P. Santapaola, 77, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He was the husband JoAnn L. (Gemmelaro) Santapaola with whom he shared 49 wonderful years in marriage.

Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Anthony and Lena (DeMarco) Santapaola, Vincent attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving four years until his honorable discharge, upon which he served in the US Air Force Reserve. Happy to have returned to Lawrence, Vincent soon began working for Weston Electric and later dedicated his career with AT&T/Lucent Technologies until his retirement in early 2000.

Just a few years after meeting the love of his life, JoAnn, the couple were married and settled in Salem, NH, where they raised their family.  Vincent was always proud of his two girls and was even more proud of being a grandfather to his seven grandchildren.  He would give the world to his family.

Vincent was predeceased by his one brother, Paul A. Santapaola.

In addition to his wife, JoAnn, he is survived by his daughters, Lee Ann Huntington and her husband George, III, of Manchester, CT, Nancy Milligan and her husband Scott, of Windham, NH; and grandchildren, Charlie, Callie, Serena, Rose, Finley, Olliver, and Addison.

Due to the current situation, a celebration of life memorial mass will be held later this summer with the assistance of Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital, PO Box 414905, Boston MA 02241-4905.
