Vincent A. Mauti, Sr.
October 15, 1933 ~ May 13, 2020 (age 86) 86 Years Old
Vincent A. “Vinnie” Mauti, Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Aline (Vincent) Mauti, whom predeceased him in 1990. Born and raised in Lawrence, the son of the late Giovanna (Tiberio) and Luigi Mauti who emigrated here from Italy in 1914.
Following graduation from Lawrence High School, Vincent enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. After completing his service he attended the New England Aeronautical Institute at Daniel Webster College and graduated in 1973 with an Associate Degree of Science. He continued his education by completing certifications in Random Vibration and Test Screening at Tustin Institute of Technology, Electronic Instruments for Measurement and Control at Bristol Instruments / Systems and the Sanderson Private Pilot Audio-Visual Ground School.
Vinnie loved the beach and enjoyed his retirement in Salisbury. He was an avid carpenter, electrician and plumber - just a few of his many hobbies. He was very endearing to all he met and loved running his parking lot and making new friends along the way. He loved to talk and tell his stories to the friendly people he met. Vinnie also loved gardening- his tomatoes were his pride and joy. He was always working on a project at home and continued to be active with improvement projects around his beach property. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his children, Sheryl (Mauti) Elicker and her husband George Elicker, Jr., Allison C. Mauti, and Vincent Mauti, Jr. He was also brother to Joann (Mauti) Stack, the late Columbo Mauti and the late Gaetanina "Ida" Mauti.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, all services and interment for Vinnie will be held in private at this time with the assistance of Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinnie’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
