Victor J. DiPrisco Jr.
June 14, 1954 ~ May 30, 2021 (age 66) 66 Years Old
Victor J. DiPrisco, age 66, of Haverhill, MA and formerly of Medford, MA, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was the son of the late Victor J. and Rose J. (Giordano) DiPrisco.
Born and raised in Medford, MA, Victor attended school in Medford, MA and Somerville, MA and graduated from Medford High School. Shortly after graduation, he began working in the food service industry and enjoyed a lifelong career in this industry. Victor got his start as a young boy at Arthur’s Bakery, followed by Cara Donna’s Bakery in Medford. After working at these bakeries, he perfected his craft working as a pastry chef at the Hyatt Regency in Boston. He gained the respect of many for his amazing pastry and made many friends along the way.
For the last twenty years, Victor worked at Piro’s Bakery in Methuen, MA, where he was not only an employee to Joe, Paul, and Tony, but more like a family member! The Piro brothers describe him as a man who had a “Heart of Gold”! He was extremely talented and there was nothing Victor could not do. He was one of a kind and was truly a master of his trade!
Victor loved to surround himself with family and friends. His kind nature was the source of his extreme willingness to help those in need, especially if he could offer his handyman skills. Victor had a lifelong passion for astronomy, and owned sophisticated telescopes that he would use on clear nights to examine the universe. He would keep up with all the new planetary discoveries and was especially thrilled with the latest exploration of Mars. He often joked that he wanted to be the first baker in space!
In addition to his parents, Victor was predeceased by his wife Donna (Shehadi) DiPrisco and his daughter Toni DiPrisco.
He is survived by his children, Victor J. DiPrisco III and his wife Rhina of Winthrop, Maryanna Judge and her husband Bruce of Everett; siblings Patricia Ann Tambone and her husband Joseph of Tewsbury, Jo-Ann Latendre and her husband James of Haverhill, Joseph W. DiPrisco of Billerica; five grandsons: Carmen, Nicolas, Bruce, Brandon, Christopher: and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his extended family; the Piro Family as well as all the employees at Piro’s Bakery where he worked side by side with for the last two decades.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Monday June 7, 2021 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA.
