Victor H. Baillargeon, age 91, of Pelham, NH and former longtime Lawrence, MA resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 14, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary R (Healy) Baillargeon who predeceased him in 2011.
Born, raised, and educated in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Lucien and Georgianna (Fredette) Baillargeon, Victor attended Central Catholic High School. In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his county during the Korean Conflict and returned home upon his honorable discharge in 1954. After his return, Victor attended Merrimack College and received an Associate Degree in Business. He retired from the IRS after twenty-five years of service, then worked for Brox Industries and TJX Company.
In 1951, Victor married Rita, and they remained in Lawrence where they made a home for their family.
A devoted husband and father, Victor always provided for and supported his family. Time spent with family was most important, especially holidays and celebrations. He enjoyed dancing and spending time in the yard, keeping it well-manicured.
Victor was predeceased by his three brothers: Lucien, Robert, and Raymond Baillargeon; and his son-in-law, Freddie Duffen.
He is survived by his children, Victor C. Baillargeon and his wife Trina of Hudson, Robert F. Baillargeon and his wife Kathleen of Lawrence, MA, Karen M. Marcinkevich of Hampstead, NH, Maryann J. Duffen of Pelham, NH, Julie L. Grundy and her husband Shayne of Haverhill, MA; grandchildren, John Michael, Derek, Jeremy, Mark, Jillian, Shawn, Danielle, Michael, Alexander, Steve, Lyndsey, Zachary, and Brandon; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover. In lieu of flowers,, donations in Victor’s memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence MA 01843.
