Thomas F. “Tom” Minahan, age 82, a longtime Lawrence resident passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 9, 2020, in the comfort of his home. He was the son of the late Raymond W. and Madeline W. (Baudo) Minahan.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Tom graduated from Lawrence High School in 1955 and was part of the workforce until 1957, at which time he enlisted into the United States Army and proudly served his country until 1960. Soon after his return, Tom began working in the electronics industry and enjoyed many years at Honeywell as a tester, until his retirement.
Tom enjoyed the company of many friends as they gathered socially to play golf, bowl in leagues, and play the drums in the Pontiac Chieftains Drum and Bugle Corps. He especially loved to gather with family and friends during holidays, each of them holding a special place in his heart. He was most grateful to spend time with his nieces and nephews, each holding a special place in his heart. He will most be remembered for his kind and gentle personality, always looking to help his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, John R. Minahan and his wife Patricia of Methuen; sister, Sandra J. Bonjiorno of Sacramento, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Due to the current MA restrictions, all services will be private and a memorial mass will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
