Thomas J. Dubois

Tom Dubois, 58, of Lawrence, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home after a lengthy illness.

Tom was the epitome of a family man. He loved to spend his time with his friends and family. He loved to cook, a lot of times in his underwear with a Budweiser in hand. He loved traveling with his children. His most recent trip was September 2020 to the Outer Banks. He talked to anyone and everyone about his grandson, Hunter - his pride and joy.


Tom was the first male student to graduate from Wheelock college in Boston, MA. He held a dual degree in Education and Sociology.

He loved his weekly get-togethers with his friends, John and Jimmy.

He loved spending time with his longtime friends, Kenny and Kathleen. They would enjoy cooking on the grill and drinking beer together on the deck.

He especially loved Red who was a friend but more like a son to him. As Red's wife Brandi would say, “They talked for hours about everything and nothing.”

He enjoyed spending time in his backyard with his neighbor, Terri. They would talk about gardening, plants and their families. Tom's family would also like to thank Terri for everything she did for him.

Toms family would like to thank his nurse Lou from Alliance Home Health for all he had done for him. Lou always went above and beyond in caring for Tom.


Tom is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Geraldine Dubois of North Reading, MA, and his brother, William DuBois of Wilmington, MA.

Tom leaves behind many loved ones and friends. Surviving him are his former wife, Carolyn Dubois of Haverhill; his daughter, Kathleen and her husband Mathew, and his grandson, Hunter St Pierre of Londonderry, NH; his daughter, Amy Dubois of Haverhill, MA; son, Michael Dubois and his wife Hannah. He also leaves his best friend since childhood, Jeff Haynes; his sister, Donna and her husband Mark of Georgetown, MA; his niece, Shannon Dubois and his nephews, Kyle Dubois, Andrew, Matthew and David Bakas.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tom’s name to a charity of your choice.
