Tanos A. Sadek, 77, of Salem, NH, passed away on June 27, 2021, at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. He was the loving husband of Nouhad Sadek for 54 years.
He was born in Damour, Lebanon on May 18, 1944, the son of Abbas and Martha (Dagher) Sadek. He was educated in Lebanon and was a police officer in Beirut, Lebanon for 25 years before his retirement.
A courageous man, Tanos carried his family to safety from one town to another to escape the war in Lebanon. He immigrated to the US to start a whole new beginning centered around his family. He was the mentor, helper, chauffeur, babysitter, loaner, advisor, amuser, counselor, guide to his family, teacher, and spiritual leader for his family. If any one of his children needed something, he made sure they had it. He sacrificed everything so his family was safe, comfortable, and happy. A true loving and caring father. Our Dad!!! If you’ve met him, you loved him!
He is survived by his loving wife, Nouhad; daughter, Maguy Bouchrouche and her husband Fadi of Salem, NH; his sons, Abbas Sadek and his wife Carine of Salem, NH, Richard Sadek and his wife Erin of Haverhill, MA, and Rani Sadek and his wife Colette of Methuen, MA; his grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan, Justin, Julian, Anthony, Charbel, Joy, Paul, Mariana, Andrew, Lucia, and Cecilia; and his brother, Toufic Sadek of Beirut, Lebanon.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Street in Methuen, MA. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 2, at 10:30 AM, at Saint Anthony Maronite Church 145 Amesbury Street in Lawrence, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the Sadek Family suggests charitable donations be made to Saint Anthony Maronite Church 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
