Sylvia Mary Grieco

Sylvia Mary (Shaw) Grieco passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Nevins Rehabilitation Centre in Methuen. She was born in Haverhill on July 30, 1940 to the late Earl and Esther (O’Leary)) Shaw.

Sylvia was a tireless and dedicated employee at her family business in which she worked alongside her husband. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, cooking, spending time with her family, and especially spoiling her husband, John, who was her soul mate and the love of her life. Above all, throughout her long and wonderful life, the most important thing to Sylvia was her family. Her giving, creative, and energetic nature will be sadly missed by all.

She was predeceased by her son, Jay Grieco.

She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, John Grieco of Salem, NH; daughters, Mary Royce of Cooper City, FL, Penny Plichta and her husband, Rick of Manchester, NH, Darlene Weber and her husband, Jack of Plantation, FL, and Kim Polovick and her husband, John of Indio, CA. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Peter Shaw of Barrington, NH; and mother-in-law, Angela Grieco of Methuen.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 10:00-12:30 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main Street in Salem, NH.
