Susie Fazzio

Susie M.  (Desando) Fazzio, 96, of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021.  She was the loving wife of the late Joseph A. Fazzio with whom she shared fifty-four wonderful years in marriage.

She was born in Haverhill and was daughter of the late James and Rose (Pepe) Desando.  Susie was raised and educated in Haverhill and retired from Western Electric/Lucent where she worked for twenty-five years as a coil winder.

Susie was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Spending time with her family was her greatest pleasure, especially when everyone got together for big Suday meals.  She would do anything for her family, even attending class at Northern Essex Community College with her granddaughter Susan.  She also enjoyed playing golf, taking walks, QVC and shopping online.

Susie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dufresne; daughter-in-law, Rebecca A. Fazzio; brothers, John Desando, Richard Desando and his wife Ruth Ann; grandchildren Angela Marie Miller and her husband Richard, Christopher M. Fazzio, Susan Donoghue and her husband Daniel, and Shawn and Kimberly Dufresne.  She also leaves seven great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her son, Joseph V. Fazzio, her brother, Leo Desando, and sister-in-law, Jeanette Desando.

At the family’s request, all services were private and burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Harborside Hospice, 241 Winter St. Suite 201, P.O. Box 930, Haverhill, MA 01831.
