Susanna Petczo

Susanna (DeCola) Petczo, 95, of Lawrence passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the Greystone Farm Assisted Living in Salem, NH. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Severino and Maria (Bellfonte) DeCola.

Raised and educated in Lawrence, Susanna retired from the Lawrence School system where she worked as a teacher’s aide for many years. She was also a licensed hairdresser.

Susanna was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Petczo, with whom she shared seventy years of marriage; and her sisters, Carmella Comer and Ann Lane.

She is survived by her nephew, John Lynch and his wife, Deborah of Salem, NH; nieces, Cornelia O’Connell and Cindy Guiffre and her husband, Ray, all of Salem, NH; and her dear friend, Jean Christian, of Methuen. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Greystone Farm Assisted Living for the love and care given to Susanna during her time there.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. in Methuen. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in West Parish Cemetery in Andover.
