Stephen D. Parolisi

Stephen D. Parolisi, 96, of Methuen passed away peacefully Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Cosimo and Assunta Parolisi.

Raised and educated in Lawrence, Stephen worked as a tool and dye maker for Watts Regulator in North Andover and retired after forty-six years of service. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed his daily walks and coffee with his friends at McDonlald’s.

Stephen was predeceased by his wife, Mary E. (DeNuzzio) Parolisi; and his siblings, Cosmo, Carmen, Edward, James, and Anthony Parolisi, Frances Giarusso, and Adeline Gallant.

He is survived by his children, Janice P. Etscovitz and her husband Richard of Marietta, GA and Stephen P. Parolisi and his wife Kathleen of Methuen; sister, Josephine Palermo of Andover; brother-in-law, Michael DeNuzzio and his wife Barbara of Methuen; grandchildren, Dana McCarthy and her husband Kris of Haverhill, Wendy Mattheson and Paul Ayala of Methuen, Mark Parolisi and his wife Ashleigh of Haverhill; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Justin McCarthy, John and Jessica Mattheson, Arianna and Alexa Ayala, Mark, II, Stella and Jackson Parolisi. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the various home health care agencies and the Merrimack Valley Elder Services for their kind and compassionate services over the last several years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 8:30-10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will be held following visiting hours at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
