Stephen C. Campagnone, Sr., 75, of Methuen, MA, passed away September 29, 2021. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Marie (Borrelli) Campagnone.
A graduate of Lawrence High School, Stephen excelled in basketball. He was the team captain and one of the best players in the area.
Stephen served with the U.S. Army and retired from Parlex where he worked as a purchasing agent. He previously worked at Multicore and Honeywell and was a licensed barber.
A member of the Sons of Italy and Methuen Knights of Columbus, Stephen loved sports, golfing, playing cards, and volunteered his time as a referee for area basketball games.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce C. (Silva) Campagnone; his children, Dawn McKinney and her husband Robert of Lisbon, NH, Stephen Campagnone, Jr. of Salem, NH, and Anthony Campagnone and his wife Shauna of Methuen; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Thornhill and her husband Gene of Lawrence; grandchildren, William and Julia McKinney, Stephanie, Makayla, Anthony, Jr. and Gianna Campagnone; and his great-grandchildren, Anthony and Harper. He also leaves nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his best four-legged buddy, his dog, Midnight.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
