Sheayna Lee Smit

Sheayna L. (Doherty) Smit, age 39, of Lawrence, MA, and formerly of Malden, MA, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, May 21, 2021. She was the birth daughter of Bonnie H. (West) Doherty.

Born and raised in Malden, Sheayna was raised by her mother, the late Lisa S. Moore and attended Malden and Revere Schools. Shortly after completing school, she be began working for Fiesta Show Carnival, a career she enjoyed until recently.

Always blessed to have the freedom brought by her career, Sheayna enjoyed traveling across the country as well as overseas. These opportunities gave her so much joy and allowed her to make so many friends along the way.

Sheayna will be remembered for her loving personality and her generosity. She loved being around people and was always willing to help anyone in need. She always made mention of being blessed to have her biological and carnival family. Relaxing was best accomplished by crafting, coloring, and shopping, and always managed to add Country music concerts into the mix.

Sheayna will be greatly missed by her siblings, Shannon Doherty, Sean Doherty, Amanda Reyes, Chantel S. Moore; nieces and nephews, Brittany Doherty, Austin Greenleaf, Victoria Greenleaf, Shonna Peal, Tianna Doherty, Sean Doherty, Jesannia Daneau, and Moses Reyes, Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Sheayna’s family between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen.
