Sharyn Lee Ruprecht

Sharyn Lee (Fickenworth) Ruprecht, 74, of Methuen, MA, and former longtime Lawrence resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2020.  She was the wife of the late David Earl Ruprecht, with whom she shared thirty-three years in marriage.

 The daughter of the late Ernest A. and Ruth A. (Hutchinson) Fickenworth, Sharyn was born, raised, and educated in North Andover, graduating from North Andover High, class of ’62.  She later received an accounting degree from Northern Essex Community College. She went on to work for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover as a Tax Examiner, dedicating thirty-three years to the agency. During her years with them, she was sent to Washington, DC on details.

A devoted Christian, Sharyn attended Grace Episcopal Church in Lawrence, who felt blessed to have attended the St. Basil Cursillo Retreat weekend held at the Salvatorian Center in Methuen. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” on television in her free time. She was also fond of “anything ladybug”. Above all, time with her family brought her the most joy. 
In addition to her husband, David Earl, Sharyn was predeceased by her brother Ernest Charles Fickenworth; sister, Ruth A. (Fickenworth) Adie; and grandson, Gabriel Gonzalez, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Lee M. Fickenworth of Lawrence, Hope L. Ruprecht of Methuen, Marc E. Ruprecht and his wife Lisa of Norton, MA; grandchildren, Giovanni M. Gonzalez, Jack H. Ruprecht, Lauren E. Ruprecht; and family friend Jeanne Cameron.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with her family between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
