Shannon E. Sammataro

Shannon Erin (Sullivan) Sammataro, 46, formerly of Methuen, MA/Windham, NH, died unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at her residence in Littleton, NH.

Shannon was born in Granville, NY on October 16, 1972 to the late Eugene and Lorraine (LeFebre) Sullivan. She grew up in Methuen, attended local schools, and was a graduate of the Greater Lawrence Vo-Tech High School.

Shannon worked many years for AL’s Diner in Methuen, as well as Mark’s Deli in Haverhill and was fond of her many regulars. She was recently working as a life counselor at many community centers helping those in need.

She had a deep love for the mountains and lakes of NH and an even deeper admiration for music. Shannon enjoyed playing cards and puzzle games, playing pool, ice skating and playing tennis, but most of all, she loved the time spent with her children.

Shannon is survived by her three children, Kelsey, Riley, and Dylan Sammataro, and former husband, Derek Sammataro, all of Windham. Also among her survivors are her siblings, Sean Sullivan and wife, Deidre of Methuen, Kelley Bartlett and husband, Stephen of Haverhill, and Carey Sullivan and wife, Robin of Salem, NH; Aunt Patricia Lefebre and Uncle Edward Mannion of Salem, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call on Monday, March 18, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be offered at 7:00 PM at the conclusion of calling hours.
