Sergio B. Kadar, 73, of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, MA. He was born in Santiago de Cuba, on March 22, 1947, to the late Sergio and Eneroina (Schumann) Kadar.

He came from an extended family that he loved and cherished. Sergio was full of life and enjoyed telling stories about his ancestors in Russia. He had a strong love and respect for God, family, and the United States. Sergio’s greatest achievement was taking his family out of communist Cuba and settling in the United States. Sergio was forever grateful to God.

Sergio was a truly wise man, a generous and supportive father, and a kind husband, with an exceptional heart. He had the gift of learning languages besides Spanish: English, Arabic (learned with his wife, Hadia), Hungarian, and Russian. He loved to sing, dance, and listen to world music.

Sergio is survived by his loving wife, Hadia (Youssef) Kadar of Lawrence; adored children, Elizabeth Ravinet and her husband, Claudio Ravinet and David Kadar and his wife, Ivana Kadar, both of FL; cherished grandchildren, David and Matthew Kadar and Sarah and Katherine Ravinet. Sergio is also survived by his sister, Sonia Hermida Kadar of Havana, Cuba.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Methuen. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
