Scott M. Tisbert, 63, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Margaret A. Hovanasian, with whom he shared thirty-five years of marriage.
Born in Lawrence, MA and raised in Methuen, the son of the late Paul and Patricia (Hart) Tisbert, Scott was a graduate of Methuen High School, class of 1979. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1982. He loved sharing memories of his time served in Alaska. Upon his return home, Scott began his career in masonry and was proud to be a member of Local Union 3 until his retirement in 2021.
Scott felt blessed to have met Margaret in 1983. In 1987, they were married and settled in Methuen, where they raised their children and created a loving and joyous home where the door was always open. Family was everything for Scott. Watching his children grow and being a part of their everyday life was truly all that mattered. His kindhearted and joyful nature and dedication to his family defined him. He was proud to coach his children’s sports teams and celebrate all of their life accomplishments. In his free time, Scott enjoyed cheering on the Boston sports teams, fishing, spending time at the casino, watching Westerns, cooking for his family, and scratching tickets.
In addition to his wife, Margaret, Scott is survived by his children, George P. Tisbert and his wife KayLee of Scottsdale, AZ, Gabrielle R. Pope and her husband Coleman T. of Boston, MA; granddaughter, Violet K. Tisbert; sister-in-law, Robin M. Hovanasian; sister, Victoria Tisbert; grand-dog, Hamilton; and a large extended family.
