Sally Gianni

Sally (Alakel) Gianni, 93, of Methuen passed away at her home on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lillian Alakel.

Sally was raised and educated in Lawrence. She worked for the Lawrence Sunday Sun and also as a bookkeeper at H.K. Webster Company in Lawrence. She enjoyed candlepin bowling and volunteered her time as a Big Sister helping many area children.

Sally was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Gianni and her brother, Robert Alakel.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Gianni and his wife Teresa of Florida; her granddaughter, Nancy; and her great-grandson, Jason.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at United Lebanese Cemetery in Lawrence.
