Ruben Rivera-Baerg

Ruben Rivera-Baerg, 87, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 19, 1934, he was the son to the late Juan and Ramona (Baerg) Fantauzzi.

Born in Puerto Rico, Ruben moved to the United States when he was seventeen years old. He moved from New York to Massachusetts in 1969, and he raised his family with Carmen. A hard worker,Ruben was employed at Lawrence Packaging Corp for many years, and later worked at Raytheon as an assembler, before retiring. He was family oriented; always put his loved ones first and worked hard to provide for them. More than anything, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and dogs.

Ruben will be deeply missed and is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Carmen M. (Rodriguez) Rivera; children, Carmen R. Rivera, and Jose L. Rivera, and his wife Marisol; siblings, Julia Ramirez, Tony Fantauzzi, Cano Fantauzzi, Ana Cruise, and Ida Hernandez. Ruben is also survived by his eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Cataudella Funeral home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Mary – Immaculate Conception cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence, MA.
