Rose Marie Lahage

Rose Marie (Assaf) Lahage, 91, of Methuen, MA, passed away October 31, 2023.  She was born in Methuen and was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Kadra) Assaf.
 
Raised and educated in Methuen, Rose Marie was a graduate of Searles High School.  She retired from Western Electric where she worked as an inspector for 35 years.  Rose Marie was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Church in Lawrence, MA, and was a member of The Daughters of St. Anthony Church group.  She enjoyed playing cards and socializing at the Methuen Senior Center. She had a very active retirement and was a daily fixture at local coffee shops, diners, and stores. She had the gift of independence and was driving up to the age of 90.  She loved being surrounded by family and was affectionately known as Aunt Rosie by all those around her. 
 
Besides her parents, Rose Marie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lahage; her siblings, Arlene Giglio, Joan Healey, Carolyn Mahoney, and Joseph Assaf; her nephew, Joseph Healey, Jr.; and her niece, Joanne Doore.
 
Rose Marie is survived and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kevin Mahoney and his wife Margery of Salem, NH, Carl Khalil and his wife Maureen of Methuen, MA, Jason Khalil and his wife Melissa of Seabrook, NH, Anne Louise Potter and her husband Lynn of RI, Darlene Morin and her husband John of NH, Cheryl Costello and her husband Jeff of North Andover, MA, James Healey and his wife Laurie of Salem, NH, Paul Healey and his wife Cheryl of North Andover, MA.  She also leaves several great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. (Rt. 113), Methuen.  Her funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence.  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Methuen.
