Rose G. Vallante

Rose G. (Sciacca) Vallante, 88, of Methuen, MA, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Prescott House in North Andover. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Alfia (Faro) Sciacca.

Rose was raised and educated in Lawrence. Besides raising her family, she cooked for the nuns at the Presentation of Mary and also ran the coffee shop at Holy Family Hospital. She loved summers with her family at Salisbury Beach, and she enjoyed a good game of poker.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent, Charles, Joseph, Albert, Fred, and Salvatore Sciacca and her sister, Ann Donato.

Rose is survived by her children, Ronald “Ron” Vallante and his wife Elsie of Methuen, Anthony “Tony” Vallante and his wife Karen of FL, and Donna Marquis and her husband Paul of Epping, NH; grandchildren, Joshua Muenzenmayer and his wife Bethany, Stephen Vallante and his wife Kelly, Krystle DePardo and her husband Bill, Amy Vallante, and Kaytie Gilberti and her husband Christopher; great-grandchilren, Kayla, Kate, Evelyn, Joey, Ella, and Anthony. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org.
