Rose E. Pienta

Tribute
Rose E. Pienta of Methuen, MA, passed peacefully at home to join the Heavenly Father on May 12, 2020, with her family by her side. She fought a long hard battle with cancer, but never let it stop her right through till the end. Rose was born on November 29, 1930, in Lawrence, MA to the late Santo and Lucy (Musumeci) Pauta. She attended Lawrence grammar schools and Lawrence High School.
In 1953, Rose married the love of her life, Walter. They enjoyed many wonderful years together until his death in 2016. She was first and foremost a mother and wife to her family. Once her children were grown, she spent many years working at Arlington Trust Bank in the operations center.
To say Rose enjoyed her life to the fullest is an understatement. She was always ready for any social activity or company, even on her tough days. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, and good conversation. Above all else, family was paramount in her life. She was extremely proud of all of her children and grandchildren. She relished the time spent with her family and friends.
Rose has now joined her beloved Walter and we know they are dancing away in the heavens.
She is survived by her cherished sons and their wives: Walter and Joanne Pienta of Bradford, MA, David and Sheila Pienta of Methuen, and Robert and Tina Pienta of Derry, NH; her loving grandchildren: Anne Marie Georges, Christopher and Melissa Pienta, Nicole Bell, David Pienta, and Robbie and Brittany Pienta; and her great-grandchildren: Nisalia, Mishayla, Dakota, Cooper, Alenah, Kenai, Chanel, Vayda, and Lorelai. She also leaves behind her brothers: Sam Pauta and Joseph Pauta and his wife Sandra; brother-in-law, Manuel Quintal; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Josie and Eleanor.
Private services will be held by Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen, MA, with a church mass to be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elder Services of Merrimack Valley, for their tremendous help in caring for Rose over the past few years, at 280 Merrimack St., Suite 400, Lawrence, MA 01843.
