Romaine G. Giarrusso

Romaine G. “Roy” Giarrusso, 94, of North Andover, passed away April 5, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was born in Lawrence on April 3, 1924 and was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Antonio and Angelina (Licciardi) Giarrusso.

Roy resided in North Andover for over seventy-five years. She worked as a group leader at Raytheon. She loved spending time with her family and was a dedicated to creating lasting memories. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and later on her great-grand nieces/nephews. Roy’s love of food was a passion of hers. The meatballs after Sunday mass where the family favorite. In addition to her family, Roy’s life was enriched by her neighbors, friends, and members of her Sodality group. As a devout Catholic, she was comforted by her faith and beliefs. Her caring disposition and desire to help others was evident in everything she did. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph and Anthony Giarrusso; and her sisters-in-law, Thelma, Concettina, and Margaret Giarrusso.

Roy is survived by her brother, Frederick Giarrusso of North Andover; sister, Rita A. Chaput and her husband, Fred of Bradford. She is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and great- grand nieces/nephews who were an important part of her daily life.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14th at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
