November 5, 1929 ~ January 18, 2019 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

It is with deep sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of our father Roland “Trigger” Trignani. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family on January 18, 2019.

A devoted and loving husband of sixty-three years to the love of his life, Josephine C. (D' Angio) Trignani.

Born and raised in Lawrence, Roland was one of three brothers, born to the late Louis and Ida (Bounnano) Trignani. He graduated with the class of 1947 at Lawrence High School, and was inducted into the Lawrence High School Hall of Fame. After receiving his diploma, Roland began his college years at Haverhill Trade School, then Lowell Technical Institute and finished at Merrimack College in North Andover.

Roland was an amazing athlete and mastered many sports throughout his life. Later in years, he was a tremendous golfer well into his eighties. He was always the man to beat! In addition to his proud achievements, he served as manager for Textron Systems in Wilmington for many years.

Roland's family was the center of his whole life. His smile was infectious and he had a fantastic sense of humor. Roland was someone who would light up any room he would enter. Any time spent with Roland was always special. He would entertain family and friends with his tricks and put on shows for them. In addition, the family loved to hear all of his interesting stories, including about him growing up in his big Italian family.

Roland's attribute that set him apart from others, was his capacity to love. He was kind, generous and always a perfect gentleman. Roland will greatly be missed by all those who loved him and those who were fortunate to have known him.

In addition to his wife and parents, Roland was predeceased by his brothers, Louis “Gene” Trignani and Raymond Trignani.

Roland is lovingly survived by his children, Sandra and her husband, George Wade of East Kingston NH, Lenny Trignani of Methuen, Gary Trignani and his wife, Lena of Novato, CA; grandchildren, Stacey Yeatts and her husband, Rich, Gina Mackie, Jamie Wells, Jodi Wade, George Wade, III and his wife, Stephanie all of NH, Ryan Trignani of Tyngsboro, Stina and Erik Trignani of Novato, CA; and his thirteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a special niece, Sheila Fleming of Seabrook, NH, along with several other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley in Methuen. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.
