Robert Michael Manzi, 51, of Methuen passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
Born in Lawrence on October 3, 1968, he was the son of the late William Michael Manzi, Jr. and Tania (Lopez) Manzi.
Raised in Methuen, Bobby obtained his high school degree and was a landscape technician for many years. He had a natural brilliance with a heart that felt more than he let on. Bobby acted as the primary caretaker for his parents. The love and care that he displayed during that time were extraordinary. He thrived in the role. His parents were his bedrock.
Bobby had a kindness and empathy, which belied his gruff exterior. He adored his nieces and nephews and always lit up when they entered the room. His love for family always shone through.
He had an affinity for and a considerable comprehension of the stock market. He could analyze it with great accuracy. His understanding of the market and its trends allowed him to explain it to others in a way they could understand. He also applied that analysis to sporting events and thoroughbred horse racing, which he loved to watch and discuss.
He will forever be loved and missed by his grieving family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his brothers, William Michael Manzi, III and wife, Beth, John Michael Manzi and wife, Candice; his sister, Karen Manzi; nieces, Meaghan and Isabella Manzi; nephews, William and Lucius Manzi; and his devoted partner, Dawn Martin. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Tania Manzi.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence. Burial will be at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
