Robert P. “Bob” DiVincentis, 62, of Plaistow, NH passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 26, 2018. Born in Methuen, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Lucy (DeLuca) DiVincentis.
Bob was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and also attended Northern Essex Community College. He worked for many years as a material handler at Lucent Technology.
He was an avid sports fan and loved all the local Boston teams. Bob also enjoyed taking occasional trips to Maine, riding his motorcycle, water skiing, boating, especially being at the lake house surrounded by his family.
More than anything else, Bob loved his family. He will forever be missed by his wife of forty-one years, Susan (Cote) DiVincentis; son, Robert A. DiVincentis and his wife Sarah T. of Haverhill; son, Jeffrey M. DiVincentis of Amesbury; brother, Anthony C. DiVincentis and his wife, Jean of Linwood; brother, Paul M. DiVincentis and his wife, Patti of CA; and sister, Beth Doiron and her husband, Jim of Derry, NH. Armand and Lorraine Cote of Atkinson, NH lost their son-in-law, and Linda Cote-Small and her husband, Edward of ME, Richard Cote of FL, Robert Cote of Danvers, Judy Desharnais and her husband, Lenny of Franklin, NH and Steven Cote and his wife, Laury of Salem, NH lost their brother-in-law.
Bob especially loved being a grandfather to his three grandchildren, Julia Wall, Nicholas and Nathan DiVincentis. He will be missed by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He left an enduring mark on his family and friends, for whom the world will now be a bit duller without his wit, a bit quieter without his laugh, and forever missing a piece without him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31st at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to M.S.P.C.A. at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
