Now that I am retired after a long successful and fruitful career and life, Ive been looking back at the people who I feel were most important in y development as a youth. Rita was certainly someone who I feel had a positive impact on me. I knew her through work at Messinas market for 7 years. She was the kindest, warmest, and at times, the funniest person knew. Her caring and concern for me was greatly appreciated. I wish I reached out to he sooner to tell her how important she was, and is, to me.

Rest in peace, Rita.

I have always recalled, with great fondness, my special times with the Bonanno side of the family.... most of all with 'Auntie Rita', who used to slip me those yummy, fragrant cookies and lovingly touch my chubby cheeks. All of you were so good to me. May this 'Saint of a Woman' forever and ever rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear of Rita's passing. My children grew up going to her home and she was the best with all kids. WE had so many good times with our numerous parties, etc. Lots of laughs and great memories. RIP my dear friend.

Dear Family, I am so very sorry to hear that Rita passed away. Rita was an icon in my life as dad and I would visit the farm. Dad grew up with Rocco senior, and knew Clementi. He enjoyed visiting. I was a toddler and awed at the farm, the animals, the big dogs and the giant sized everything. Rita made me feel safe and welcomed. I remember her encouraging smile and enthusiastic invitation. I would not have left the safety of the car without it. Rita was always engaging and pleasant. I remember her fondly. Sadly Butch

Very happy memories of Mrs. Bonanno continue to be with you. But when sadness comes, may these promises from Jehovah God give you solace. Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalms 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. There will be a great time on earth when pain and illness will be gone forever. No resident will say: " I am sick." Isaiah 33:24 NWT. What a wonderful future! Peace be with you, dear family.

To all of the Bonanno family:
I know what a loss this is for you all. What an amazing lady she was. I became friends with Rita through Quota, and I will never forget her laughter and ability to tell a joke. We did lunch a few times, and had such a fun time together. She will be missed by everyone who was touched by her smile and warm friendship.

So sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Rita at Methuen High School as a cafeteria worker in the 70's. She was always so kind and so funny. She taught me years ago to never say "Not my job" a valuable lesson to me which I remembered all through my working years and knew the definition of Teameork.
She will be missed but I know all the angels were waiting for her at her final resting place.

I was sad to hear of Rita's passing. She was a funny and hard working woman of great character. I had the opportunity to work with her as a food service worker in the Methuen school system. She had a passion for her work and cared greatly for the children. God Bless and keep you, Rita.
