October 1, 1956 ~ January 13, 2021 (age 64) 64 Years Old
Richard J. Oster, 64, of Seabrook, NH entered peacefully into eternal rest on January 13, 2021, after a 17-month battle with cancer.
Born on October 1, 1956, in Boston, MA, Richard grew up in Danvers, MA. He graduated from Essex Agricultural School in 1974 and moved to Seabrook, NH in 1978. He worked in the construction field until 2001, when he became a custodian at the Lincoln Ackerman School in Hampton Falls, NH.
Richard was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to races all over the country with his daughters and son-in-law. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, and spending time with his beloved dog, Gracie.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Amy Loosigian; daughters, Casey and her husband, James O’Toole of Winston Salem, NC and Colby of Amesbury, MA; granddaughter, Harper O’Toole; brother, Robert and his wife, Marlene (Parker) of Danvers, MA; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Florence (Mulkern) Oster; and his sister, Katherine Sferrazza and her husband, John.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 17, 2021, from 2:00-5:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen, MA. A funeral service will commence immediately following calling hours at 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA.
