Richard T. Kallery, Sr., 78, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, at his home. He was born in Lawrence, the son of the late Thomas and Hazel (Peters) Kallery.

Raised in Lawrence, Dick was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1960. He worked at Mass Electric and then for Bay State Gas, where he retired as a service supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, and he was a huge Boston sports fan. Dick was heartbroken this year when Tom Brady went to Tampa Bay. He was an avid reader who also loved history and politics. There were two things of which he was most proud: his grandchildren’s academic and athletic accomplishments, and his larger than life mustache. He was also a member of the Howard Association, which raised money for local charities.

Predeceased by his wife, Maureen (Penney) Kallery, Dick is survived by his children: Glenn Kallery and his partner, Jane Doucette, of Hampton, NH, Lisa Leedham and her husband, Paul, of Lowell, Richard Kalllery, Jr. and his wife, Raichelle, of Haverhill, and Scott Kallery and his wife, Alexis, of Haverhill. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 21, 2020, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Private funeral services for the family only will follow. The public is invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in West Parish Cemetery in Andover.
