Rene V. Voisine

Rene V. Voisine, 85, of North Andover, MA passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice House on July 27, 2019. He was born to the late Evariste and Beatrice (Parent) Voisine and was raised in Lawrence, MA. Rene attended St. Anne Grammar School, Central Catholic High School, and Merrimack College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then served in the U. S. Army for three years. After his military tour, Rene began work at Western Electric , which later became AT&T, where he worked for thirty-five years.

Rene was very active in the Knights of Columbus in Lawrence and was the president of the building and also a trustee, as well as a 4th Degree Knight. He was a member of St. Anne’s St. Vincent de Paul before the church closed. Rene loved to play golf and was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a quiet man who loved to care for his family.

Rene is survived by two of his twelve siblings: Agnes Riel and her husband, Joseph and Raymond Voisine and his wife, Celin; as well as his sister-in-law, Maureen (Ord) Voisine.

Rene was pre-deceased by his siblings Marcelle Voisine, Richard Voisine, Anita Carpenter, Paul Voisine, Lucille Veilleux, Robert Voisine, Rita Lariviere, Claire Voisine, Peter Voisine, and Irene Wall.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 4-8 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 10 AM at St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street in North Andover. Burial will be in St Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street in Lawrence.
