Raymond F. Hileman
September 24, 1949 ~ February 20, 2021 (age 71) 71 Years Old
Raymond "Pete" Hileman, 71, of Haverhill, MA, passed away February 20, 2021, after a short illness. He was the son of Majorie B. (Dwyer) Hileman, and Jesse C. Hileman.
Raised in Haverhill, Ray was the oldest of eleven children. He was predeceased by a sister and a brother, Bonnie Giampa and Richard Hileman. He leaves behind eight brothers and sisters and countless nieces and nephews.
Ray was raised in the Catholic church and attended parochial schools before he entered Haverhill Technical High School, Class of 1967. He proudly served his country, stateside, in the United States Army. He then spent forty years working for the city of Lawrence as a truck driver, sanitation foreman, and finally as a health inspector.
He was the devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carol A. Hileman, also of Haverhill. Carol will hold dear memories of beach days, family gatherings, and time spent shopping together. He will be missed terribly by his daughters, LIsa M. Munoz and Stacey Hileman Iannazzo, and her husband Brian. His memory will also be cherished by his stepdaughter, Michelle C. Finno, and her husband Barry Finno. Ray will always be in the heart of his favorite aunt, Dolly (Eleanor Ellis).
Ray is survived by his grandchildren, Mathew, Ethan, Tyler, Erica and Serena Marie. He was also the proud great-grandfather to five and three granddogs.
Ray will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of our country, and traditional values. He enjoyed playing cards, Keno, singing karaoke, movies, music and spending time with his cousins, family and close friends. Pete, as many still call him, took great joy in the everyday moments in his life.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian burial be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 11:00AM in St. Theresa Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
